چکیده

PurposeDonor body mass index (BMI) has been increasing over time in heart transplantation, mirroring the trends general population. Our purpose was to assess survival and right hemodynamics transplant recipients from donors with BMI ≥ 30 kg/m2.MethodsWe retrospectively divided our population 2007 through July 2019 into two groups: donor < kg/m2 (non-obese donor) (obese donor). We recorded baseline recipient characteristics. Outcomes were one three-year catheterization at year.ResultsA total of 257 included 100 patients obese group 157 non-obese group. Twenty-eight had a > 40 kg/m2. Clinical characteristics results are shown table (* p 0.05 versus Obese more likely be female significantly older than donors. Both 1-year 3-year excellent compared favorably In those who survived 1 year whom data available (97 141 group), atrial pulmonary artery (PA) pressures higher non-obese. Pulmonary capillary wedge pressure (PCWP) not different between 2 groups.ConclusionAllograft hearts can used transplantation survival. patient population, we demonstrated PA post-transplant, although absolute increase small. Donor year. A groups. Allograft

Use of non-heart-beating donors in renal transplantation.

The rate of renal transplantation has plateaued and is now limited by the number of donor organs available. In the past all donor kidneys came from living donors or controlled non-heart beating donors. It was not until the introduction of brainstem death criteria that cadaveric heart beating donors became the main source. Recently, there has been renewed interest in non-heart beating donors, wh...

Similar liver transplantation survival with selected cardiac death donors and brain death donors.

BACKGROUND The outcome of orthotopic liver transplantation (OLT) with controlled graft donation after cardiac death (DCD) is usually inferior to that with graft donation after brain death (DBD). This study compared outcomes from OLT with DBD versus controlled DCD donors with predefined restrictive acceptance criteria. METHODS All adult recipients in the Netherlands in 2001-2006 with full-size...

Transplantation Persistent Racial Disparities in Survival After Heart Transplantation

Background—Racial and ethnic disparities are well documented in many areas of health care, but have not been comprehensively evaluated among recipients of heart transplants. Methods and Results—We performed a retrospective cohort study of 39075 adult primary heart transplant recipients from 1987 to 2009 using national data from the United Network of Organ Sharing and compared mortality for nonw...

Heart transplantation from donors of different ABO blood type.

INTRODUCTION ABO blood group compatibility between donors and recipients of heart transplants is required to reduce the risk of hyperacute rejection. Ideally, ABO-identical cardiac grafts should be used but transplantating using ABO compatible types allows reduced waiting times among recipients with rarer types without a significant increase in hyperacute rejection. However, previous reports ha...
